i had the opertunity to buy a complete 91 celica gt for $200, the only problem was that there is a short somewhere in the dash that causes one of the main fuses that runs the engine to blow, i own a 91 gt and they both have the 2.2 L eninges and my plan was to swap the engines, but the car i currently drive is automatic and i hate that, and the one i bought is a manual, so i was just going to convert mine over to manual, which is a moderatly complicated process, but i feel i could do it right, then i thought why not just try to fix the wiring in that car and run that one instead, so i guess my main question is does anyone know of a possibility of where this short is located, i have already pulled the whole dash in my car to fix the heater core so i have seen all the wires and where they go, i have not had time to look at this car yet but if you have any idea what wire/wires it could be that could really cut down my search time.

i fixed the wires but i also pulled the engine so i can go over it, check all the piston bearings, cams, timing, gaskets, ect. i am also painting the engine bay up. i will hopefully be done in a few weeks, depending on school and work. here is a link to my photo bucket, the celica with the carbon fiber hood is the one i currently drive and the other is the one i bought, when i get that one fixed up im going to pull the engine in the one i drive now.
