charing system issue

I have a 94 corolla with the 4AFE 1.6L engine. I replaced the battery and alternator and the car still runs for a few minutes and dies. The alternator fuse is good. I have no idea what the hell is wrong. Any suggestions?? O and yes the ground is tight and the connectors are tight on the alternator.

Hmm, so you know the car will fire, but can't keep running.  I'd suggest you check for fuel and spark, then go from there (assuming charging system is ok). When it's running, is it rough or does it idle smoothly?
